Agatha Christie's beloved detective Miss Marple has a unique mystery to solve. A letter from a recently    deceased friend Jason Rafiel raises more questions than it answers.  He promises a large reward for investigating a crime but does not tell her what the crime was or who was involved. Miss Marple discovers that a young woman was murdered several years ago and the prime suspect was Jason Rafiel's son Michael (who was engaged to the young woman), He was never brought to trial and subsequently disappeared.   When Michael reappears and then disappears again, Miss Marple must find find him.  Meanwhile, Miss Marple is given a ticket for a bus tour of historical homes and gardens. She has 15 fellow passengers and one of them knows a murderer's secret.  And someone is preparing  to kill... A highly praised  TV drama, it was nominated in 1988 for a BAFTA TV Award for Joan Hickson as Best Actress.   One review on the IMDb said "This is by far the best of the Miss Marple TV productions," The plot keeps you guessing as any good mystery should.  Is Michael  the murderer? Why has he left a life of wealth and privilege to live on the streets?  What dark secret is he hiding?  The answer will surprise you. As the camera zooms in on his eyes when someone is talking about the murder of Michael's fiancee, the versality and depth of Bruce's acting is already apparent.  The range of emotions he displays in this film include anger, tenderness, and compassion.   Even as a dirty, grungy street person, Bruce radiates the charismatic presence that is his trademark, as the photos below show.
