2010

September 1: MORE BIG NEWS:
A new interview with Bruce at the BET Awards June 27 this year. Click here for the YouTube video.
Fall is on its ways so Sofia made Autumn Leaves the theme of the Sept. calendar.

August 1:
BIG NEWS!!  Brothel is coming out on DVD in September! Go to this link to pre-order: Brothel order link.
To see a trailer for the film, go to our Brothel page.

Here's a delightful August calendar from Sofia featuring one of our favorite rogues, Dogger, from Solar Babies. He and the Alexei Sale character serenade us "musically" with the refrain: "I stink therefore I am..."

July 2:
Just in time for summer vacations...but this one is a place you might not want to go. The July calendar graphic is based on Necronomicon where Bruce as Edward De LaPoer found himself at less than the ideal vacation destination. Something about slimy monsters puts a definite crimp in one's plans...Hope yours turns out better. But meanwhile we can enjoy CMoon's graphic made into a deliciously sinister calendar by Sofia.

In other news, according to the IMDb, Prowl is still scheduled for a September 25, 2010 release in the US but the USA release of Disturbance has been postponed till October 25, 2011.

June 2:
Our Calendar Queen Sofia has recovered from her illness and came through on the June calendar with "flying" colors. Doesn't this beautiful calendar make you want to book a flight. somewhere..No? We hope the former United Airlines doesn't mind our commandeering of its old slogan...

May 22:
Here's some new info about The Brothel, a movie Bruce did a number of years ago. It's an indie production and the producer and writer Amy Waddell has been looking for a distributer. Good news: She's found one--Mystic Pictures, as announced by HorrorSociety.com. Click here for the press release.  No word on when or how it will be released, but, hey, it's progress.

Also: there's a new Bruce Payne "community" page on Facebook. Mostly has the info from Wikipedia. If you're a denizen of FB, go click the "Like" button as we did.

AND our piece de resistance: Israfel has made a gorgeous new page for all the recent photos of Bruce. Click here for the new photo page.

May 5:
We're a trifle late with the May calendar because our dear Calendar Queen Sofia has been sick. We are happy to report that she is fine now. The theme is Yellowthread Street, a TV series in which Bruce plays a charming good "bad boy," a cop in present day Hong Kong.  Another film in which Bruce plays a real cutie pie is Privates on Parade. We have found a brief clip from this film on You Tube, showing Bruce singing and dancing in drag. Want to see Bruce wearing makeup and a skirt? Check out this link: Privates on Parade
He's the one on the left. Just imagine that next time you watch Passender 57!

Meanwhile also on the update front is more info about Bruce's upcoming movies:

Here is a trailer from Dance Star which was briefly premiered in England. No word yet on its US release. Bruce has a few scenes early in the trailer: DANCE STAR TRAILER

The people at After Dark Productions are on the ball. Prowl has a Facebook page. The theatrical release is scheduled for September of this year: PROWL

One of Bruce's films from Greenway has a Wikipedia page. No word yet on the US release date: DISTURBANCE

April 18:
We have new photos of Bruce, thanks to our friend
Tzvetislav. These were taken in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 21 of this year. Bruce was there filming another movie!
 This info is from bloodydisgusting.com
"Playing in this fall's After Dark Originals series, we've got a bloody new look at Patrik Syversen's Prowl, which stars Bruce Payne, Courtney Hope, Saxon Trainor, Ruta Gedmintas, Joshua Bowman, Jamie Blackley and George Oliver. In the film Amber dreams of escaping her small town and persuades her friends to accompany her apartment-hunting in the big city. When their transportation breaks down, Amber and friends gratefully accept a ride in the back of a semi. But when the driver refuses to stop and they discover the cargo is cartons of blood, they panic. Soon, panic turns to terror when the truck disgorges into a dark, abandoned warehouse where blood-thirsty creatures learn to hunt human prey, which the friends realize is what they have now become."

The release date is Sept. 25. Bruce's movie filmed last year in Bulgaria, Re-Kill (aka Dead Ahead) is scheduled to come out sometime this year. No further info.

April 2:
For the jokester month of April, our Calendar Queen Sofia has made a lively, colorful calendar full of mirth and merriment. No bad guys in this calendar, only Bruce at his most outrageously charming.

Meanwhile, here's the latest scoop on new Bruce movies: Prowl's (the one filmed in Bulgaria last year) release had been postponed to Sept. 25. This is a synopsis from the IMDb:
"Amber dreams of escaping her small town and persuades her friends to accompany her apartment-hunting in the big city. When their transportation breaks down, Amber and friends gratefully accept a ride in the back of a semi. But when the driver refuses to stop and they discover the cargo is cartons of blood, they panic. Soon, panic turns to terror when the truck disgorges into a dark a dark, abandoned warehouse where blood-thirsty creatures learn to hunt human prey, which the friends realize is what they have now become."

After Dark Films is announcing a partnership with Lionsgate and Syfy to produce eight original titles. Prowl is one of the first in this series. We hope this means that Prowl will be shown on the Syfy Channel. Here's a link to the After Dark website. There's a trailer there but be careful, it's pretty gory (and doesn't show Bruce). Courtney Solomon, the CEO of After Dark Films, was the director of Dungeons and Dragons.

February 28:
MORE GOOD NEWS: According to the IMDb, Prowl, the movie just filmed in Sofia, Bulgaria, will be released in the USA on March 25. We're on it!

For our March calendar, we feature...well, not exactly the luck of the Irish, but a darling face it is now, isn't it, lassies (and laddies :))?

January 30:
GOOD NEWS. According to the IMDb, Dance Star will be released in the U.K. on March 7 and in limited release in the U.S. on September 27.

And heading into February, our poignant Valentine calendar theme is a bittersweet one of love lost...
