We Love a Good Western Hero

especially if he's blond...

Wayde Preston as
Christopher Colt in Colt. 45

Notice the resemblance?!

Oooh, those English blonds...

Roger Moore as
Beauregard Maverick on Maverick

Talk about a two-fisted hero...

But the American blonds weren't bad either...

Will Hutchins as
Sugarfoot

Though our favorite blond candidate for a Western Hero is still...

Let's bring back the Western!
Yippee ki yi yay...

While we're on the subject of Westerns...

I would like to dedicate this page to my Dad, a great lover
of Westerns. Every Western on the background of this page
he watched faithfully, (and still does since most are currently
in syndication). As far back as I can remember, he has been a
die hard, true blue fan of John Wayne (The Duke). He has seen
every John Wayne Western; even the Wayne films that are not
Westerns. One of his favorite Duke Wayne Westerns is El Dorado,
starring Robert Mitchum and a very young James Caan.

This one is for you Dad!

"Eldorado"
by Edgar Allen Poe

Gaily bedight,
A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.

But he grew old-
This knight so bold-
And o'er his heart a shadow
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That looked like Eldorado.

And, as his strength
Failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow-
"Shadow," said he,
"Where can it be-
This land of Eldorado?"

"Over the Mountains
Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,"
The shade replied-
"If you seek for Eldorado!"
